NARS Audacious Lipsticks | Audrey and Vanessa

You probably have seen tons of reviews on this line of lipstick from NARS (probably more positive ones) but I think its time to share my piece of opinion.

I picked up Audrey and Vanessa and boy was I not disappointed. From their names to their packaging to the colour itself, they just shout elegance and sophistication.

What I love most about this range is their packaging. Its in a sleek metallic casing that doesn't cause stickiness such like their original rubbery ones when the material starts degrading. There is also a magnetic click to close the cap, awesome!!

As you can see here, the pigmentation is insane. Like seriously jaw-dropping insane. The above picture is 2 full on swipes of the lipstick and I couldn't even stop staring at how gorgeous the colour is.

Vanessa is a nude lipstick with pink undertone and there seem to have a subtle warmth to it. Whereas Audrey is a sexy deep red (almost close to wine red) with an air of coolness. Both doesn't tug on the lips upon application and sits comfortably.

Their longevity is also another plus factor. Imagine 5 solid hours without budging even after talking and sipping of water. Huge prompt thumbs up from me.

I seriously, sincerely and whole-heartedly encourage you to check out this range if you haven't already. This is totally a life changing lipstick that every girls need to have in their stash.

Little Black Beauty Box December Edition | StylexStyle

I just want to tell you how excited I was when I received the box. I know it's gonna be good because its nearing Christmas right? And Christmas means presents, those huge big ones.... 

And guess what? I wasn't disappointed at all. Take a look below and the huge, and I do mean HUGE amount of products inside this edition.

I mean, seriously... Cle de Peau (although I do know this brand is gonna be in this box but I wasn't expecting its gonna occupy half of the box O_O).

Just look at the loot!!! O.M.G!!! This is really Christmas coming.... How did a full size NARS nail polish get into here? Are you kidding me? Hallelujah, I guess somehow God heard my prayers (alright, I'm getting way overexcited and exaggerating just a little but you get the drift of how happy I was)

So we'll got the Cle de Peau skincare lined up. From the right,

Best Beauty Products 2010

This is sort of late as its already mid Jan 2011 and I'm still living in the world of 2010. And OMG, I can't seem to keep up with my new year's resolution = Blog as frequently as I can.

I have to stay motivated in any sort of way **acting tough**

So here are the things that I used so often in 2010 that I can't really live without them. The reason that they are a keeper is due to either that they give tip top quality/consistency/texture, or they are heavenly scented, they don't break me out, or they perform excellently in their relevant fields, or just simply the brand that comes together are just too hard to resist.

 Hopefully, I'll get to discover greater new stuff this year (of course, by splurging more moolah and experiment on the vast amount of products out there)

I do find it quite peculiar that none of my Chanel makeup made it through this round. It ain't because I'm not crazy over Chanel's cosmetics (in fact, I just can't go a week without them), maybe its just that other products outshine Chanel's and I seem to grab other products more frequently than the big C.

And I'm sorry to say that I have a tendency to choose high ended products over drugstore/pharmacies ones. Maybe its the materialistic demon in me stirring ever so often that I tend to lose sight of how great sometimes low end cosmetics could be.

But fear not. Its 2011. I'm going to venture more into other brands and will try to stick to my meagre budget this year so that I don't hoard those expensive thingys in my drawer and forget about them (seriously, I think these branded ones are just for display and nothing else).

My Makeup Collection: Blush

Well, my blush collection has definitely grow since half a year ago where I only own 6 blushes. I think the most fanatic period of buying blushes is when I'm in Japan. I seem to grow very fond of this makeup category as I enjoy the morning routine of choosing which colors should be going on my cheek. And of course, this doesn't stop me at all from splurging further by having the urge to experiment with other brands and colors.

Nars Sheer Glow Review

What they say: A glowing, satin-finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage. Replete with skincare benefits and the NARS Complexion Brightening Formula, skin is hydrated, more luminous, softer and smoother. Used daily, Sheer Glow Foundation improves skin brightness, radiance and texture. For normal to dry skin types.

What I say: This gives a medium coverage. Although I don't get they dewy, glowing finish, I do feel that it did even out my skintone and at the same time cover up my redness and some bumps. As for radiance wise, umm... well, maybe its because of my extremely dry skin, the foundation did seems to sink into my skin and I don't get that luminous glow (as the name suggests). I guess that's just me because many beauty gurus swears that they look rather ravishing when using this.

I like how smoothly this liquid foundation goes onto my skin. I don't have to rub it in or blend it in quickly as it doesn't dries up too fast. And best of all, it doesn't feel heavy on my skin as well as not caking up after a day of sweating. Doesn't slide off, no streaky application, doesn't enlarge my pores, covers imperfection, has a nice smell to it, long-lasting and it apparently hydrates my skin too. OMG!!! What more can I say with this incredible product??

My only complain, is indeed the absence of a pump. Its such a hassle to pour the liquid out. Therefore, I kinda like press my fingers to the opening and obtain the product bit by bit. 

And ummm, there's no freaking indication in English on the bottle that says I'm in the shade Fiji. Oh yeah, by the way, I'm using my fingers to apply this foundation. It definitely melts with the warmth from my fingers.

Verdict:
Packaging: 7/10 
Function: 10/10
Price: £46. 6/10 (I bought this in Japan, therefore the exchange rate totally blew me off)
Repurchase: A BIG YES

My Blush Collection

I got some of these for a while. Nothing new purchased because I've only had 2 cheeks and God knows why I own that many blushers. I'm using them up like crazy, trying to get as much products onto my cheeks as possible. But man...! Do they take ages to even make a dent.
