Shu Uemura Murukami Collection

So the other day when I saw this collection on Instagram I knew I have to get it. Its the Shu Uemura Murukami and seldom this brand excites me with this much intensity.

Here's my loot.

Trying hard to be artsy fartsy with the gem biscuits.

So I got their Rouge Bloom lipstick which is a bright red in the tube but when swatched, it is this sheer true red with a sheen. Really love that the intensity of the colour is not in-your-face and it is buildable to your liking.

A little close up on the art work. Looking at it makes me happy somehow ^_^.

Next in my basket is this Protective Moisture Primer in Beige to counteract my reddish skin tone. The texture of the product is really emollient and spread easily on my skin.

Best thing of all is that my skin love this stuff and immediately laps up the product. Another feature of this product that tickles my fancy is how lightweight this feels on my skin. Its literally like I'm wearing nothing. Plus, this primer has SPF 50 PA+++ thus if you are in a hurry, you can totally skip your sunscreen and apply this straight. Anything that saves time is in good books with me.

Last item I got from the collection is their Clarifying Cleansing Oil. I have always been a fan of their oil as they don't sting my eyes and rid my face thoroughly of makeup. However along the way in my beauty adventure I side tracked and tried other brands to see if there are other alternatives out there. Hence you can imagine how excited I was to come back to this signature product. Definitely looking forward to give it a go. And can we just take a moment to admire the beautiful flowery bottle!?

I really love the collection as a whole (although I didn't get much but these 3 items are enough to impress me). Its a fun and unique collection that caters towards the younger generation. Do check them out at their counters.

NARS Audacious Lipsticks | Audrey and Vanessa

You probably have seen tons of reviews on this line of lipstick from NARS (probably more positive ones) but I think its time to share my piece of opinion.

I picked up Audrey and Vanessa and boy was I not disappointed. From their names to their packaging to the colour itself, they just shout elegance and sophistication.

Left to right: Audrey and Vanessa

What I love most about this range is their packaging. Its in a sleek metallic casing that doesn't cause stickiness such like their original rubbery ones when the material starts degrading. There is also a magnetic click to close the cap, awesome!!

Left to Right: Vanessa and Audrey

As you can see here, the pigmentation is insane. Like seriously jaw-dropping insane. The above picture is 2 full on swipes of the lipstick and I couldn't even stop staring at how gorgeous the colour is.

Vanessa is a nude lipstick with pink undertone and there seem to have a subtle warmth to it. Whereas Audrey is a sexy deep red (almost close to wine red) with an air of coolness. Both doesn't tug on the lips upon application and sits comfortably.

Their longevity is also another plus factor. Imagine 5 solid hours without budging even after talking and sipping of water. Huge prompt thumbs up from me.

I seriously, sincerely and whole-heartedly encourage you to check out this range if you haven't already. This is totally a life changing lipstick that every girls need to have in their stash.

6 Lip Pencil | Crayon | Balm | Stain You Should Try

I've never been a huge fan of these stick-like lip products. They occurred to me as just some marketing gimmick to lure people into buying more. I mean, cummon, we already have enough of lipbalms, lipsticks and lipglosses to last for our entire life and which our bank account couldn't cope already with every release and yet, here are these newbies sucking more from our wallet.

Then, one day, it all changed. I happen to cave into the trend and chance upon the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain when all of a sudden, I'm addicted to this stuff. Subsequently, more "sticks" made into my stash and I've selected 6 of them which I think you should get as they are stupendous.

Below are 3 reasons why these lip products are my favourite thing to wear:

1. They are insanely pigmented.
~ Like seriously out-of-this-world crazy pigmented. Expect the product to be still there even after hours of talking and eating. Lasted on me for 6 hours.

2. They are smooth and comfortable to wear. (i.e. Soap&Glory, Revlon, Bellabox)
~ The product doesn't tug and drag on your lips nor do you feel them heavy. Just amazing.

3. They are moisturising. (i.e. Revlon, Soap&Glory)
~ These 2 range has properties such as in lipbalms and sometimes, they do offer a minty sensation to your lips. Maybe to pout your already sexy lips wtf >.<

So, do you have some of these lip products in your stash? Are you going to try them out if you haven't already? What are your thoughts on these type of products? Would love to hear from you ^_^

Beauty: Typical Products in My Makeup Routine

Hey guys, so I've been much bumped up with work and staying occupied with health issues.. So, I've decided to do a post that keeps me happy, which is products that I love which I'll use everyday when I'm getting ready for work.

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette, Chanel Foundation, YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick, Dior Lip Balm, Biore Sunblock, Benefit Eyebrow Gel and DKNY perfume (this is not makeup I know, but still, its my absolutely favourite scent).

As you can see, I don't do eyeliner and mascara everyday as they are time consuming (I'm not a pro in this field thanks to my hooded eyelids) and tend to smudge (no matter how waterproof they are) by the end of the day. I'll do concealer too if my dark eye circles decided to pop out and say hi.

So, what's your routine? What's your everyday must "do" in the morning before you leave the house?

Beauty: Purchases From the Internet ~ Feel Unique & Luxola

If you do subscribe to Feel Unique's newsletter, you'll tend to get discount codes from time to time. Ranging from 15% to 25% off, its pretty good considering you get to save a lot if you have something to buy. The good thing about Feel Unique is that it ships international worldwide for free. However, the downside is due to certain rules and restriction to shipping areas, certain brands (especially higher ends like such as Dior or Guerlain) are unable to ship to Singapore.

Luxola always has this discount code (30% off) littered around the internet (if you notice the Google ad bars everywhere on random websites) and passing off something like that just doesn't mix well with my shopping conscience wtf >.< Its a Singapore based website thus it offers free delivery within the island and each delivery are handled-with-care (even if you only purchase 1 item) whereby the delivery guy brings a pretty paper bag to put your stuff. The downside is that Luxola seldom has massive offers/sales on its site.

So, I went ahead and click away on some stuff that I wanted to get for a very long time (I blame Youtube for this).

The infamous Tanya Burr's Lipglosses from Feel Unique. I bought "Lets Travel the World", "Chic" and "Afternoon Tea"

From Luxola, I bought Zoeva Brush Set, Zoeva Brush Cleaner, Sleek Blush By 3 and with a free sample sitting at a corner.

And also from Luxola, Sleek i-Divine Oh-So-Special Palette and Edward Bess Lipstick.

So far, I am very happy with all my purchases. However, I have impose a makeup ban on myself as I really spend too much makeup for the past few months, shopping has to stopped for a wee while >.<

Beauty: Lippies Galore

A simple post to show you what I've got on my lips which I'm rotating between day by day. If I must say, between lipgloss, lipsticks and lip stain, I still prefer the formulation and application of lipsticks.

Lipgloss sometimes annoys me with its stickiness and attracting my hair always. Lip stains can be too overpowering with its opaque-city (although I do enjoy its staying power) and sometimes to bleed into my fine lines. Lipsticks are like my go-to if I want to look good. Formulations of lipsticks nowadays are so creamy and less drying which makes it ideal for a plump succulent lips without compromising on color.
