The Answer to Unisex Perfume ~ Mirko Buffini

I am a perfume fanatic.

Trust me when I say I have over 40 bottles of perfumes and non of them have a similar scent to the ones in Mirko Buffini Unisex perfumes.

This perfumery although a fairly young one, was passionate about producing unique luxury fragrances which are unisex and a perfume takes almost 3 months to complete due to its complex processes and stringent quality control.

These are the 12 core fragrances that I was lucky enough to sample:

1. Ki
Top notes: Bergamot, Orange, Pink Pepper
Base notes: Amber, Vanilla

2. Saba
Top notes: Bergamot, Coffee
Base notes: Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Patchouli, Amber

3. Moxi

Base notes: Amber, Sandalwood

4. OG
Top notes: Ginger, Black Pepper
Base notes: Leather accord, Oud

5. Gods

6. Mu -

7. Haiku

8. Kirk -

9. Klito -

10. Moa

11. No. 31 (the first EDP created by the brand) -

Base notes: Patchouli, Amber, Vertiver, White Musk

12. Haecceitas -
Top notes: Freesia, Orange Flower
Base notes: Moss, Vanilla

As you might have noticed, the colour theme for this brand is black and white. The packaging of the actual fragrances are divided into these two opposite colours with Black Images representing strong and deep woody top notes while White Images tags the more floral and fruity top notes.

There are 2 fragrances from Mirko Buffini that I absolutely adore:
Haiku and Gods

In my humble opinion (apologies as I'm no elite perfumer thus I'm unable to give you a detail accord of the scent), Haiku veer towards the girly side as its laden with floral accents however settles into a nice lingering musky end. Whereas Gods kicked off with a heady sophisticated citrusy opening which ends with a calming warm woody tone.

Do head over to any Takashimaya 3rd Floor to give each fragrance a whiff or head over to Mirko Buffini Website for more detail info their actual notes and the story behind each fragrance (which is an interesting read to be honest).

Huge thanks to Mirko Buffini for your generosity. ^_^
