With the hot, humid and rainy weather going on in Singapore, I tend to steer away from foundations. It is a torture to wear layers and layers of skincare and makeup products on my face when all my face wanted to do is sweat.
Thus, I welcome The Face Inc UV Defense SPF Tinted with open arms after being informed what the product is.
According to The Face Inc, the UV Defense SPF50 Tinted is:
"An advanced physical tinted sunscreen for protection of the skin against harmful UV rays, prevention of sunburn and photo-damage. Proprietary blend of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide delivers broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. Vitamin E acts as an anti oxidant and moisturising agent." ~ The Face Inc
It is basically a sunscreen with a tinge of colour to even out your skin tone while providing ingredients that benefits the skin. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it really is.
A glance at the application directions and the ingredients on the box. As you can see, there's instructions to apply the product 15 minutes before exposing yourself to the sun which so many skincare does not include.
For your info, this, my friends, is the proper way to apply sun protecting cream. You need to give the sunscreen a little time to settle in and work its magic before heading outdoors. I call it, the warm up period :D.
The texture of the product is kind of mousse-like, very light weight and easily spreadable. Do note that a little goes a long a way or else you'll get white streaks on your face.
After massaging the product in, the finish is this nice healthy glow with a slight coverage. The sunscreen does not feel heavy on the skin albeit a little tacky though which thankfully did go away after a while.
One more thing to note is the scent of the product. In my personal opinion, I do wish that the smell can be more floral or refreshing. You guys know how I feel about scents in products, anything girly will have me sold instantly.
