3 Reasons to Take A Break From Blogging

First of all, I would like to apologise. Sorry.

If you are an avid reader of mine then you might have noticed that I didn't post anything on this blog last Monday. Not upholding my blogging integrity it seemed.

Seriously, this week has been such a low morale and unmotivated week. Couldn't get my chin up to complete important tasks or accomplish something significant (say, staying healthy!?). Its just a bummer for the past few days and my blog has taken a toll too (although weird enough that I'm still quite active on INSTAGRAM).

Thus, I have decided to take a break from blogging, maybe for a week or two.

Before everyone starts getting jumpy and annoyed or even start criticizing me being lazy, here are 3 reasons that Bloggers should take a break from blogging occasionally.

1. Life is overwhelming
When there's just too many things to do and you don't know where to start, the overwhelmed feeling will come haunting you. With the oncoming waves of work load and personal chores, sometimes I'm chocked with emotions and I just couldn't breathe. Maybe this is what people call a panic attack? I just need my me-time to calm down and you know, sort thing out.

2. Humans are not machine
When you start feeling lethargic and depress while staring at your blogging editor page, you know its time to take a breather. Do keep in mind that we are not machine and its not like we are programmed to churn ideas 24/7 or work our butts off round the clock. We need rest (heck even machines need rest and maintenance) to recover our body and soul. Juggling both my day time job and maintaining my blog lead to constant stress and that stress itself is starting to take a toll not just on my well being but also to those around me. Hence, it is crucial that sometimes a break is needed once in a while.

3. Plan for a Better Future
The sense of being lost in such a huge blogosphere is normal. When there are literally millions of blogs out there with better content quality or more followers can be really daunting at times. When you take a break and slow down a little, you might be able to think clearer (instead of being too caught up with the pace) and plan ahead. Use the time to plan what might do good for your blog or maybe where you want your blog to head say in the next 3 years. I'm deciding now whether to turn this blog into an official beauty blog. I mean, I like blogging about food and other non-beauty related stuff so this will be a huge challenge for me to step out of my comfort zone. We'll see....

Phew, I certainly did not intend to write such a long post but there we go. Hope that you guys can understand my need for a break from blogging. I won't be away for too long I promise. Once I've sort things out, I'll be back to my normal blogging self, or maybe with more creative juices flowing. Stay tune guys ^_^

Oh, and thanks for being with me through thick and thin. Appreciate it with all my heart.

Great post - I thin there's a lot of pressure to post all the time but sometimes you just need to take a break. And if you want to keep your blog going while you take a break, you can always schedule some in advance!
