Ever since my first encounter with the brand, I have taken a liking to their products, be it the vast range of products under their wing or simply the quality of them.
Was super excited when I got the chance to preview Bottega Verde's newly launched Splendida range.
Splendida is targeted towards women (and men) who is looking for an anti-aging and anti-oxidation solution.
Bottega Verde claims that the Splendida range:
"has numerous aims: preventing loss of freshness, moisturising more efficiently, fighting the first signs of ageing, protecting the skin from pollution and achieving a new bright and radiant beauty. It was created for women in their thirties, when life is at its most demanding and the skin begins to lose its resilience against stress and tiredness, providing a complete programme to defend their youth. "
Here we have the First Wrinkles Anti-ageing Face Gel Cream. It is suitable for combination to oily skin as its light in texture and easily absorbed into the skin. If you want a product that doesn't sits on your skin and feels like next-to-nothing, then this would be great.
Of course we have to cater for the other end of the spectrum. The First Wrinkles Anti-ageing Face Cream has a texture that is thicker in consistency (its a cream duh) and is absolutely perfect for normal to dry skin, which in my case is ideal.
Have been using this for the past few days and I've got to say, I really like how moisturising it is to counter my dry patches on my chin. As I have normal to dry skin, I wouldn't spread it across the top half of my face as its a bit too heavy, so just the bottom half will do and they work wonders to my dehydrated skin.
This is a surprise product from the range, the Protective and Smoothing Face Primer, SPF25. Who would have thought that a primer (normally a makeup item) would be included into a skincare range.
The primer is pretty decent and did what a primer is meant to do by prolonging the longevity of my foundation.
As you can see, it doesn't leave any white cast or any sheen on the skin (you wouldn't want to look like a disco ball, would you?). The product does not have that slippery feeling (hate the slimy feeling that some primers have) and its easily spreadable. Nice one.
Last but not least is Brightening Anti-Wrinkle Eye Care which is loaded with Vitamin E and B5. What I do like about this product is shown below.
Would you just look at the nifty packaging? o_O Its a squeezy tube with a flat applicator which ease spreading of the eye cream under the eye area.
The product absorbs fairly quickly with a few tap under the eye. It does have a brightening effect and my skin did felt supple after application.
A little gripe is that you need both hands to squeeze the tube in order to get products out as it requires a bit of effort.

1. It contains an exotic ingredient: Sicilian Barbary Fig Extract
This ingredient is extracted from a type of Cactus found in Mexico which packs a bunch of anti-oxidant (due to its high content of Vitamin E). Thus, you can totally imagine how great the anti-ageing properties are from this collection.
2. It smells wonderful.
If you know me, I'm sure it comes to no surprise that I absolutely cannot stay away from skincare products that smell heavenly. And this product is totally up my alley. Thanks to one of its ingredients, Magnolia, the scent has this garden refreshing white flower fragrance that perks me up whenever I use it.
3. Its freaking affordable.
As with all products from Bottega Verde, the prices for the these products are inexpensive. Perfect for students or those on a tight budget that want a powerful skincare product but doesn't want to splurge too much.
On a side note, here are some new hair care products from the left: Hair Neutraliser - Hair Fluid and BB Hair Cream.
These former aimed to provide shine, volume and body to the hair while the latter works on de-frizzing, nourishes, revitalises the hair. I've been using fluid after bathing and the BB cream every morning while getting ready to work.
