MTG Refa S Carat Review | Secret to Define Jawline | ad

I was extremely lucky to be invited by MTG and Touch PR & Events for the launch of Plosion, which is carbonic acid beauty treatment which comes in the form of spray mist.

"Designed for convenience and functionality, the PLOSION diffuser has a portable compact body capable of emitting a small but powerful jet of carbonated mist containing three times the average concentration of carbonic acid. Carbonic acid has emerged as a new beauty trend in Japan and the treatment aims to give your skin a healthy dose of hydration, anytime anywhere." ~ MTG

Yes indeed. This is such a revolutionary product that left me in awe when I got the chance to try it. Comes in a sleek and refine packaging, a couple of spritzing motion on the neck & jawline area and I could instantly see a difference in how my cheek and jawline has lifted up. Totally insane. o_O

Achieve defined sculpted face within seconds, this product definitely live up its name.

Another product that helps define the jawline is ReFa S carat, a roller ball massager inspired by kneading techniques of professional professionals. It comes in a beautiful white textured box and the prettiness doesn't stop there, its roller balls are coated with platinum which makes it oh-so-shiny.

I use this every night (with or without face cream depends on my mood) along my jawline (rolling upwards) for almost a month now and am happy to report that there is a slight change in the definition of my jawline area. Its sharper and more lifted.

I am impressed!!!

I also love how this roller "squeezes" my cheek, its the sort of therapeutic massaging motion that you get when you visit a beauty salon, absolutely relaxing. Of course, I couldn't doze off to sleep as my hand is gonna stop working. Maybe I'll get my boyfriend to do it for me **evil grin**.

And by the way, you can also use this around your eyes area, laugh lines and forehead. Why stop there when you can also use this at your tummy area to reduce water retention!? A total all-in-one product, bargain.

Hand to the heart, I hereby solemnly declare that this will be permanently an important step for my skincare routine. Couldn't live without it!!

Priced at $220, do check out their website for more information on how this amaze-ball product work => CLICK HERE

Sometimes I just don't understand myself. I used to think about one thing but the next moment I did an exact opposite of what I thought. Quite frustrating really, to not be able to carefully capture my thoughts and portray them how I want them to be. Its really intimidating that I often act without using my brains or any rational instinct. I think that this is the real reason that why I felt so stressed-out lately.

I am not achieving what I wish for, instead, I'm going towards an opposite direction.

Like in this case, I had warned myself multiple times to not not not spend so much money on things that I already have but just in a different variation of color or packaging. But to my utmost disappointment, I failed so badly in the self-controlling department that sometimes I wish to kick myself in the arse for being tempted so easily into gimmicks and discounts.

Alright, this post is making me feeling all remorseful and guilty so I'd decided to stop the lecturing for now.

Thus, I think I need to restrain myself from doing any sorts of shopping starting from now on, including window shopping of any kind until there is an absolute need to refill my stash. Or else..

Byebye Shopping!!

My Beauty Diary, Sake Yeast Mask

Before I start reviewing this mask, I'm going to apologize for the crappy photography that comes with this post. Blame the camera I would.

So, I'd bought a box with a variety the mask of My Beauty Diary in Taiwan (uber cheap there, approximately S$12, but you can still get them here in Malaysia and Singapore) and am enthusiastic in trying all of them out (except for the snail mask... eeewwww... even the name sound gross). The 1st one to try is this sake yeast mask.

When it comes to My Beauty Diary masks, the 1st thing that comes to my mind is that they are super wet. I don't mean that they leave your skin all moist and so, but its just that when you slap it on your face, you can feel that tons of product had been injected into the mask.

The description stated that this mask is great for exfoliating and at the same time has some sort of brightening effect as well as moisturises your skin (alright, my shitty Chinese translation needs more practice). The smell of the mask ain't that bad, really. I kinda forgot how it smells like but I know I didn't felt repulsive towards it.

Actually, I didn't feel much difference after applying the mask. I mean, my face felt quite sticky after the application (well, it happens with every My Beauty Diary masks) but to mention if there is any significant changes to the skin, the answer is no. Brightnening effect? No, not really. But I definitely do enjoy the leftover products on my mask and on the sheet of paper that comes with it. Excellent for applying it all over my body. And the mask is kind of on the larger side, and I'm saying this on the perspective of having a large face.

On a good note, this mask does feel cooling on the skin, thus maybe one with sun burn or similar may try this (well, make sure you test it out on the hand and check whether you have any allergic reaction to this mask 1st before you wanna ruin your whole face)

Rating: 6/10
Effectiveness: 4/10
Application: 6/10

Teeth Whitening With Crest Whitestrips Pro Effect

This thing, is so so good, I absolutely could see the difference on my teeth before and after applying these strips (finishing the whole course of course) and which of course, I'm tremendously happy about.

The last picture, on the left is a before, and on the right is an after.

If you look at it closely, you can definitely see the difference where my teeth is lighter by 1 shade.

Application wise is easy, where you just tear off the strips and stick it onto your teeth symmetrically.

Although you might feel a tingling sensation on your gum (yup, that's the chemical working hard on scrubing your teeth), but if you still feel unpleasant after removing the strips, just brush your teeth after that.

But I would use the strips after I brush my teeth and apply it for half an hour and voila, its done.

I would give a 4 1/2 star out of 5 star as I feel that the grasping power (or should I say that the design) for the lower strips isn't that good enough. Had to reapply it quite a few times.

All in all, a good product that I would recommend to all.

Lush Fresh Mask Review - A Crash Course In Skincare

This was a free gift from Lush and I immediately try it out that night. So after cleaning my face and sweeping my hair behind, I'm ready to give this mask a challenge.

Photobucket
My skin actually belong to the group of dry and sensitive, but I was given this mask due to the shortage of stock (not sure what mask should I actually use). Anyway, as you can see from this picture I have redness on both of my cheeks and dull complexion. Look at my dark eye circles, prominently standing out, making it the focal point of my entire face, disaster.

Photobucket
So, taking out a huge chunk of of the mask and spreading it evenly on my face, making sure that I cover every spot, avoiding the eye area and left it there for it to dry up for about 10 minutes.

Photobucket
This is what the face mask look like in the tub. Consistency was muddy and have few fine grains which sort of acts as exfoliater to my skin.

Photobucket
And there's the simple wordy packaging. And yes, I'm bored of waiting that long so I decided to snap away. The instruction to keep the mask chilled is due to the fact that it doesn't have any preservatives therefore could only last up to 2 weeks which meant that good for my skin, bad for my purse.

Photobucket
And this is me. Ignore my ugly form and concentrate more on my skin, ok?

THE VERDICT

PRICE: £6.45 FOR 75g (a tub)

LUSH ADVERTISE:
All skins need tender loving care. This is the kind of blend your mum would create if she could. It has rich, nutritious, organic avocado, freshly squeezed lemon juice to brighten and tone the skin and soothing natural yoghurt. There, that's much better.

MY OPINION:
The 1st thing that I'd notice when I'm slapping it on my skin was "Wow, what a cooling sensation!" then later only I realized its because I had chilled it and not because of the mask itself. But its still a bonus point which I wouldn't mind giving it to. The texture of the mask was great, and I like the subtle fragrant smell of lemon which was therapeutic for me. As the mask dries up, my skin felt so tight that I can't even talk or have any facial expression  at all. But I don't mind, I mean, the tighter, the better for me, slimming my face illusion. Although I do find the mask a bit hard to wash off as it kind of stick to my skin when it dried out. Are all mud type mask like this??

The changes in my appearance is quite distinguishable, judging from the photo. I notice that my skin didn't look as dull as before. Although I wouldn't say my complexion is illuminating or glowing, but at least I know that my face's clean. And the redness, OMFG, its diminishes. I hate my sensitive red cheeks, and never thought that it would one day subside, but in this case, it did. And my dark eye circles had reduced to half. Can't believe it. This would be the best face mask I ever use.

RATINGS: 9/10

REPURCHASE: An absolute yes. But I would like to try other Fresh Mask because I do find their ingredients fascinating like chocolate and garlic and blueberry. But I wouldn't purchase it too frequently due to its price and its shelf life.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Yes, by weight.

EyesLipsFace - ELF Cosmetics

Ordered some products off ELF which are super cheap and which I'd heard many good reviews whether its about their products or their delivery. And of course, I just want to jump on the bandwagon with everyone else, so off I went to click click click on their items.

Indeed, I ordered on Saturday night and my package came on Tuesday, which totally amazes me because I wasn't totally expecting that (FYI I ordered stuff from The Body Shop and I still haven't receive my things yet and its almost about 1 1/2 weeks).

Photobucket
I am so so happy to receive this parcel. Been craning my neck for the shortest time.

Photobucket
I am pleasantly surprise of how all my items are placed neatly and securely with bubble wraps on top of them. 1st class delivery service I would give them. And umm... As you can see, I had ordered like 14 products which only cost me £33.

Photobucket
I am so in need of brushes thus the impulse buying of them huge amount of brushes. OK, maybe I just wanna collect brushes and try to compare which brand is better. But still, am extremely fond of them because the most expensive brush is only £3.50 and the cheapest is £1.50

Photobucket
And other li li kak kak (miscellaneous) stuff which I may need them for the future. Or maybe pass on to my grandchildren or something =__=

Photobucket
A close up of what I'd bought. From bottom: Studio line (£3.00): Blush Brush, Angled Foundation Brush, Complexion Brush, Powder Brush.

Photobucket
From the bottom: Normal line (£1.50) : Eyeshadow brush, blending brush, Studio line: Eyeshadow "C" Brush. And let me tell you this, all of the brushes mentioned are so so soft.. Makes me wanna go **Ooooo Aaaaa**. Just can't stop touching them and for the price you are paying, its like totally worth it.

Photobucket
From left: Falsies (haha, 1st time owning a false eyelash, like very dramatic like that, but I only dare to buy the normal one), Eyelash Curler (super nice to use), and Travel Compact Mirror. By the way, each of them cost me only £1.50. Where can get such cheap make up stuff one??

Photobucket
Top: Mineral Eyeshadow Primer (£3.00), Bottom: Cuticle Pen (£1.50). The primer's quite good, thick and creamy and doesn't make my eyeshadow creases. But I couldn't really see the effect of the cuticle pen. Maybe I didn't apply it regularly enough??

Photobucket
Left: Blush and Bronzer Duo (£3.50), Right: Small Make Up Kit (free gift worth £15 when spent over £30). I do like the colour of both blush and bronzer although I find it a bit too pigmented and only need to apply just once on the cheekbone and underneath it. But still, the packaging is luscious for something £3.50. Will give the small make up kit a try (comprises eyeshadows, lip colours, blush, bronzer, eye liner, eye brow colour... can't remember anymore)

Anyhow, I will do a review on them. Yup, its each and everyone of them because I'll most probably changing my bloging stlye into something more about vanity and beauty. This is due to the fact that I love anything associated with fashion, make up, beauty and health care. As for my daily activities... Umm.... If I happen to snap pictures of them, I'll surely share it with you guys.

And I really wanna thanks each one of you, for being so supportive of my blog and regularly coming back for updates and leaving comments. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the readers. Without you guys, HOPC won't be able to last for more than a year. I'm being so bad for not updating everyday now. But I really would try my best to keep this blog as alive as I can be, of course, integrating my own style and not following others footstep. I will certainly do whatever I can to make this blog worthy of your time reading it. Cheers ^__^
