Bottega Verde Sun Care Products Review | ad

As you may know, I am currently living in Singapore which is super hot and humid. Thus, sunscreen is a must-have and an important tool if I were to be out and about.

Lucky for me, Rachel from Adjectif Co invited me to Bottega Verde to test out some of their latest launches and 2 Sun Care products are included: Sol Protezione+ Multi-active Antioxidant Face Protection Serum SPF50 and Multi-active Face Repair Treatment.

Upon first impression, I really like the sturdy squeeze tube cum pump packaging. This makes it easier to get products out without sticking my dirty finger into the cream.

Second is that I like that it comes in 2 distinguishable colours of yellow for sunscreen and blue for treatment. Like it totally makes sense, right?

What Bottega Verde claims for The Multi-active Face Repair Treatment:

"Multi-active after-sun face repair treatment with Calabrian liquorice and sunflower petal extracts (50ml). An innovative after sun treatment developed in partnership with AmbrosiaLab srl - University of Ferrara to protect and repair skin over an extended period, defending it from the damage that occurs after exposure. Formulated with a combination of specific active ingredients in optimum doses such as coconut oil, sesame oil and sunflower petal extract, it works to protect, nourish and soothe sun damaged skin."

The first thing upon application that hits me is the scent, it smells of tropical beach-y coconut-y and all things summery. I really liked it. The consistency of the product is a bit slippery which absorbs quickly into the skin after some massaging. I adore its non sticky feeling and my face doesn't felt heavy after application. However, I do wish that the cream comes with a cooling effect, I mean, its an after sun product afterall.

Multi-active Face Repair Treatment is retailing at $26.90 for 50ml which I think its a great deal comparing to other products with a much higher price point and lesser product.

Next is the Multi-active Antioxidant Face Protection Serum SPF50 which BV claims to:

"Multi-active antioxidant face protection serum with Calabrian liquorice and sunflower petal extracts (50 ml) – SPF50 water resistant. A true face serum resulting from a new way of looking at sun protection. Using the latest cosmetic research to defend your skin from the damage caused by expo-
sure to the sun, the lotion contains a mix of ingredients to protect skin from UV radiation and maintain the skin’s radiance. Its formula has a particularly light, easily absorbed and water- resistant texture."

Upon spreading the cream, I notice that the product is not as emollient as its after sun sister. In fact, its a tinge creamier and thicker which needs some time of massaging for the skin to absorb. On me, the coconut scent is not as prominent and I can smell bits of floral notes in there. I like the high SPF that this sunscreen offers and also there's no white residue/cast when applied but I do feel that its a bit heavy on the skin.

However, from the price point stand of view, I do think its an affordable product at $32.90 for 50ml. If you have drier skin, this product would be great for you as it acts as a moisturiser as well.

I must say, Bottega Verde is a new brand for me and I am extremely please with the products that they come out with such like these 2 Sun Care products which are reasonably priced. Do head over to Suntec City L2-454 (North Wing) and Punggol Waterway Point L1-56 to give the products a go.

Huge thanks to Adjectif Co and Bottega Verde for your generosity. ^_^
