Update of What's Going On in My Life - One Word!!

HECTIC

1. Wedding preparation is no easy feat. There are literally tons and millions of things to take care of and I've already tried to scale down the size of my wedding. Music, photographer, dress, gold, invitation cards.... (the list just goes on)...... Always wonder how does other couples do it!? o_O

2. New work place. I've been trying my very best to pick up and learn as much as I could at my new work place, its just crazy with the amount of work needed to be done. KPI starts kicking in and I'm starting to feel the stress. Speaking about hectic huh..

3. Am in the process of getting a new home/house (yay!! ^_^) and there are like bazillion of documents and process that we need to prepare. Seriously, why does adulthood have to be so tough?

**Sigh... I'm like complaining all the way when these are suppose to be happy occasions...

Continuing...**

4. Too Faced is going to release their new autumn collection on 6th Aug at all Sephora Singapore stores and I am excited. Click here and here to find out why!!

5. Another exciting beauty news is, remember the post where I raved about a magical product that lifts face and defines jawlines in seconds? Plosion from MTG is available on their website now!!! Woohoo ^_^.... Click HERE to check it out if you want a more sculpted model-like face.

6. I still haven't got a clue where should I go for my honeymoon. My plan initially was Greece (specifically, Santorini) but man, it seems to be unsafe now with its economic crisis and demonstration and all. Next on my list is Korea or New Zealand or Bora Bora Island!? Any suggestions?

7. I have made good friends over the past year on my beauty quests (blogging, attending events, Instagramming etc) and I sincerely felt thankful to get to meet all these wonderful ladies who taught me so much. I love you guys!!! Muuuaaaahhhh <3 <3

8. Finally, I'm in the midst of saving money (you can guess how much torment I have to go thru when I walk pass Sephora) and reducing weight. Its a toughie I can tell you that and it really takes life challenges to a whole new level. Kudos to those who succeed in these.

3 Reasons to Take A Break From Blogging

First of all, I would like to apologise. Sorry.

If you are an avid reader of mine then you might have noticed that I didn't post anything on this blog last Monday. Not upholding my blogging integrity it seemed.

Seriously, this week has been such a low morale and unmotivated week. Couldn't get my chin up to complete important tasks or accomplish something significant (say, staying healthy!?). Its just a bummer for the past few days and my blog has taken a toll too (although weird enough that I'm still quite active on INSTAGRAM).

Thus, I have decided to take a break from blogging, maybe for a week or two.

Before everyone starts getting jumpy and annoyed or even start criticizing me being lazy, here are 3 reasons that Bloggers should take a break from blogging occasionally.

1. Life is overwhelming
When there's just too many things to do and you don't know where to start, the overwhelmed feeling will come haunting you. With the oncoming waves of work load and personal chores, sometimes I'm chocked with emotions and I just couldn't breathe. Maybe this is what people call a panic attack? I just need my me-time to calm down and you know, sort thing out.

2. Humans are not machine
When you start feeling lethargic and depress while staring at your blogging editor page, you know its time to take a breather. Do keep in mind that we are not machine and its not like we are programmed to churn ideas 24/7 or work our butts off round the clock. We need rest (heck even machines need rest and maintenance) to recover our body and soul. Juggling both my day time job and maintaining my blog lead to constant stress and that stress itself is starting to take a toll not just on my well being but also to those around me. Hence, it is crucial that sometimes a break is needed once in a while.

3. Plan for a Better Future
The sense of being lost in such a huge blogosphere is normal. When there are literally millions of blogs out there with better content quality or more followers can be really daunting at times. When you take a break and slow down a little, you might be able to think clearer (instead of being too caught up with the pace) and plan ahead. Use the time to plan what might do good for your blog or maybe where you want your blog to head say in the next 3 years. I'm deciding now whether to turn this blog into an official beauty blog. I mean, I like blogging about food and other non-beauty related stuff so this will be a huge challenge for me to step out of my comfort zone. We'll see....

Phew, I certainly did not intend to write such a long post but there we go. Hope that you guys can understand my need for a break from blogging. I won't be away for too long I promise. Once I've sort things out, I'll be back to my normal blogging self, or maybe with more creative juices flowing. Stay tune guys ^_^

Oh, and thanks for being with me through thick and thin. Appreciate it with all my heart.

Updates in My Life

Wow!!! Life has been so hectic that I can barely breathe...

Travelling and work consumes most of my time that I didn't have time to s**t (no seriously, I couldn't even stay in the toilet for 5 min to get s**t done).

Anyhow, so here are some events on what I've been up to or how I have been...

Yeah, totally unrelated picture to jazz things up

1. I dislike going to the airport. It either reminds me of work or insufficient sleep (that's what happen when you are working outstation) or leaving loved ones. Give'me a break, well ya!? Until I have the opportunity to travel for leisure, I'm going to just hate the airport, period.

2. I kinda lay off hauling makeup and skincare for a while. Not too sure what's gotten into me, but I just.. stop.. buying. I dunno why the change of heart (or impulse or mindset) but I found that buying multiple of the same stuffs but different brands is really a waste of money. Perhaps I'm growing into a more sensible adult wtf (Ha, in my dreams) Until I find something that makes my heart flutter, my bank account is going to be one happy kid.

3. I've decided to close my other beauty blog because just maintaining this blog takes up most of my time, let alone another blog. So, maybe I'll transfer all my posts here or I'll just leave it as it is... So this blog, once again, is going to be a mixture of my personal life, beauty and everything about myself ^_^

4. I'm so looking forward to a long holiday in Europe. So I went ahead and bought 17 days of tour visit across 7 countries with the boy. Really happy with the purchase and so anticipating this holiday break. Now the problem is, where can I buy cheap winter wear (as I'm going during late autumn).

My Vanity (At The Moment)

Excuse me for the blurry picture, but here is what's on top my drawers, also my vanity as I don't have a dressing table.

And also excuse me for the lack of post as things has been going crazy these few weeks. Busy is not even the word enough to describe my schedule. More like lethargically-hectic-till-lacking-of-sleep. I'm not even kidding. I don't really want to whine on my blog but truth to be told, sometimes, I just wish that I could run away and ignore whatever reality stuff that's pulling me down.

Work is going to be the main part of my life, although we know that life-work balance is really important, sometimes things just don't go the way we wanted them to. Anyway, will try to find time to blog and even go back to Youtube (I miss talking to the camera :( ).

I want the life that I once enjoyed back. Or can I?
