Lucozade Sport Isotonic Electrolyte Drink | ad

If its your first time coming across this brand, Lucozade is a UK brand (under Suntory Beverage & Food Group, which also bring you the well known Ribena) with its first drink release in 1972. 

Lucozade has always been sponsors for sports events in the UK and now, it is once again proud to be the Official Isotonic Sponsor for popular races in Singapore such as The Spartan Race, TRI-Factor Series and The Performance Series (powered by Passion Card). 

As you can see from the picture, the drink is orange flavoured. It claims to provide carbohydrates and electrolytes for better hydration (thus improving endurance and performance) which can be consumed during and after intensive exercises. Besides the benefit of rehydration, Lucozade Sport Orange is also able to replace sodium lost in sweat.

What I do like about this drink is that its not overly sweet like some other sports drink. I despise those with a strong sugary aftertaste and Lucozade did not have that at all. The zesty orangey taste is really refreshing and I must say, when chilled, it tastes better and is absolutely perfect for after a meal, picnic, on-the-go or just when you are thirsty. The swanky sporty sturdy looking bottle tops my liking for this drink too.
